Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Medical ICU Charge RN to oversee a 36-bed unit and provide direct nursing care for patients with sepsis, DKA, post cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. You will mentor frontline nurses and ensure high-quality care aligned with department goals.
In this role you advocate for the team, supervise shift activities, manage patient flow, and uphold standards of care while communicating effectively with staff and leadership.
As a Medical ICU Charge RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with sepsis, DKA, post cardiac arrest, respiratory failure and various other medical conditions on a 36-bed unit configured to medical ICU. You will oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with department goals and objectives. You will provide oversight of the activities on the nursing unit during a shift, including serving as a resource to staff, directing patient flow, assuring appropriate utilization of resources, and overseeing the provision of quality care in a manner satisfying to patients.
To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You are an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. You should be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
