Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro Science unit. This full-time role features 3x12 hour night shifts and a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus to join our dedicated team.

You will lead care on a 20-bed unit serving spine/neck/head surgery, stroke and seizure patients, with self-scheduling and every-other-weekend rotation to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Active NC RN license (single-state) or compact required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required within six months of hire.
• 2–4 years of Neuro/Ortho RN experience required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

The RN Neuro Science unit at Frye Regional Medical Center is a 20- Bed unit with a patient population including, but not limited to, spine/ neck/ head surgery, stroke and seizure. The unit offers self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses gain valuable experience caring for a diverse patient population while working alongside experienced leaders and a strong interdisciplinary team.

How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required within six months of hire.
• 2-4 years of Neuro/ Ortho RN experience required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
