Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas is seeking an experienced ICU Charge Registered Nurse for night shift. This full-time role involves leadership within the Intensive Care Unit and coordination of pre/post-operative care in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include directing interdisciplinary teams and stepping in for Nurse Manager duties when required, ensuring smooth ASC operations and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Nursing License in the State of Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Current ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Has a working knowledge of surgical and aseptic technique.
• Two years of experience

• Coordinates interdisciplinary teamwork efforts of surgeons, registered nurses, surgical technicians, and ancillary staff in the provision or pre and post op care of patients undergoing surgical intervention.
• Assume the administrative responsibility of the Center in the absence of the Nurse Manager and Administrator.
• Directs activities within the ASC.
