Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a night shift, full-time Emergency Room Charge Registered Nurse to join our team. You will oversee patient care coordination for each shift and provide leadership within the ER to ensure high-quality care.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas RN license, have at least 2 years of acute care experience, and possess BLS certification, with the ability to work the night shift in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse delegates and coordinates patient care for a shift.
• Provides leadership to staff by working with the nursing team to ensure care via the nursing process.

Responsibilities:

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
• Current license as an RN in the state of Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.
