BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Intermediate Care (IMC) 6C Charge Registered Nurse (RN). The role requires delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift, with leadership responsibilities across the nursing team to ensure quality care.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a Texas RN license, have BLS within 14 days of hire, and possess at least 2 years of acute care experience; leadership or prior charge

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Prior leadership or charge nurse experience
