• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

• The Charge Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• Provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff to assure care through the nursing process.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license as an RN in the state of Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Prior leadership or charge nurse experience
• 2-3 years of experience in a hospital setting as a staff nurse
