Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX seeks a night shift, full-time ICU Charge Registered Nurse to join our team. The role oversees patient care for a shift and provides nursing leadership in a high-acuity environment.

You will coordinate nursing care, delegate tasks, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining safety and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
