Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Emergency Room Charge Registered Nurse. The Charge RN will lead patient care, coordinate activities during the shift, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure timely, high-quality treatment for emergent patients.

Ideal candidates have a Texas RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care experience; leadership or charge nurse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license as an RN in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
