Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - East Campus is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to lead daily operations on the unit, ensuring safe and efficient patient flow and high-quality nursing care. The role combines direct clinical patient care with supervising nursing and support staff, while coordinating with providers to maintain policy adherence.

You will supervise assignments, mentor new staff, and manage resources to meet patient acuity and care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in the state.
• 1 year of RN experience.
• AHA BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP if applicable by policy.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct nursing staff and support personnel on the unit.
• Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure high-quality, safe patient care and adherence to safety regulations.
• Coordinate care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians.
• Administer medications safely and participate in emergency response (HICS).
