Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - East Campus is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to guide staff, maintain a safe environment, and ensure patient throughput on the unit. You will supervise nursing staff, delegate assignments, coordinate care with medical providers, and uphold high quality, safe patient care per policy.

This role also provides direct clinical care per shift and requires current RN license, 1 year RN experience, and BLS with ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• ACLS/PALS and BLS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• The charge nurse oversees admissions, transfers and discharges and mentors staff.
• Direct clinical care per shift and coordinate patient flow on the unit.
• Delegate assignments, supervise support staff and ensure policy adherence.
• Liaise with doctors and administrators; ensure compliance with health codes.
