Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services' Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM is hiring a Charge Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. Reporting to the Nursing Director, you will supervise care processes, patient flow, and unit staff during 12-hour night shifts while ensuring safety and quality.

This role requires at least one year of nursing experience, an active NM or compact RN license, BLS; ACLS certification is a plus. EPIC charting experience is preferred, supporting excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of nursing experience required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• State of New Mexico or Compact state nursing license.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes.
• Oversee patient flow, quality care, patient safety and unit staff.
• Direct unit staff in designated service areas.
• May provide direct patient care as needed.
• Collaborate with Nursing Director and managers.

Responsibilities

The Progressive Care team at Rust is looking to hire a Charge Nurse for their unit. Charge RN will work dnder the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care. The Surgical Specialty Unit is hiring a Charge RN for their 16-bed surgical Progressive Care Unit. This unit manages post-op surgical adult patients who require post-operative care. Our specialty services include general, urology, gynecology, gynecology/oncology, GI, podiatry, and ENT, just to name a few. Our unit features large private rooms each with standard lift equipment and bedside computers that allow physicians and nurses instant access to medical records at bedside. Collaboration, teamwork and attentiveness to the needs of each patient are key components to the excellent care provided to our patient populations at Rust Medical Center. Qualifications

Experience: Minimum One year of nursing experience required

• Associate Degree in Nursing minimum from an accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)


• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License


• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

• Oncology Chemotherapy certification
