Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse for the Skilled Unit in Columbus, OH. The role is PRN, 7:00 a.m.

to 7:00 p.m., requiring supervision, coordination and direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations. The successful candidate will observe advanced nursing practice, develop comprehensive care plans, oversee medication administration, collaborate with physicians and families, and ensure safety, accuracy and confidentiality in all resident care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or vocational school of practical nursing.
• One to two years of experience preferred.
• Must have good communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, provide and direct nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Follows established standards of nursing practices and regulations; interprets policies to staff, families and physicians.
• Performs daily rounds and develops care plans; passes medications and treatments; manages MAR/TAR records.
• Assigns nursing care tasks and monitors staff performance; communicates resident status for continuity of care.
• Documents resident information accurately and confidentially; notifies changes to POA and doctor.
