Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas are seeking a Charge Nurse in Cincinnati, OH, to lead clinical care for Sisters and supervise CNAs, NAs, and HHAs. This full-time role involves 12-hour shifts with an 84-hour pay period and a sign-on bonus for FT, offering a structured, mission-driven work environment.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, administering meds, and coordinating with the Clinical Manager while supporting team development and resident enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in valid standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably geriatric or dementia care.
• Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Provide person-centered care focusing on wellness, comfort, and dignity.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards and policies.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and condition changes.
• Supervise, delegate, and educate CNAs, NAs, and HHAs on duty.
• Assist Sisters with activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, grooming, ambulation, meals.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and end-of-life practices.
• Coordinate and accompany Sisters to medical appointments and therapies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and relay updates to Clinical Manager.
• Participate in staff orientation, training, and continuing education.
• Support Activities and Enrichment programming for Sisters.
