Job summary

Mercy Convent, home to the Sisters of Mercy, seeks a compassionate LPN Charge Nurse to provide hands-on care to elderly Sisters in the convent community on an as-needed basis. This role emphasizes dignity, teamwork, and faith-centered service.

You will supervise caregivers, complete assessments, manage medications, and maintain safety. Active LPN license and BLS required; minimum 2 years nursing experience; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per care plan and physician orders
• Supervise and support caregivers during assigned shifts
• Complete assessments, vitals, documentation, and medication administration
• Respond promptly to Sisters’ needs and any changes in condition
• Maintain a safe, clean environment; follow all safety and infection‑control protocols
• Communicate clearly with the Manager, team members, and Sisters
• Assist with admissions, transfers, incident reporting, and chart updates

Per-Diem - Licensed Practical Charge Nurse

Mercy Convent, home to the Sisters of Mercy, is seeking a compassionate and dependable LPN Charge Nurse to join our team. This position provides hands‑on care and support to elderly retired Sisters who live in our convent community on an as‑needed basis. These women are part of a vibrant, faith‑filled community, not a nursing home, and the work is centered on compassion, dignity, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct nursing care per care plan and physician orders
