Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Charge Nurse RN to lead daily operations at the surgery center. You will oversee scheduling, staffing, inventory, HR processes, credentialing, safety, QA/QI, and risk management, ensuring smooth clinical operations and compliance with policy.

You will also handle marketing support, equipment coordination, and annual inspections while guiding staff development and patient relations in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State RN license.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification preferred or basic EKG or Arrhythmia identification certification
• ASPAN membership preferred
• Responsible for the pharmacy, pre-op/recovery and some OR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preceptor for front office operations
• Clinical Operations Management: monitor day-to-day internal flow
• Monitor daily staffing of employees and assignments
• Backup Circulator, Pre-op, PACU
• Maintain adherence to operating policy/procedure manuals
• IV insertions
• Weekly scheduled meetings with administration and/or managers
• Patient Survey Response Damage Control
• Oversee ordering of supplies/linens
• Ensure preference cards are up to date
• Physical Inventory
• Monitor daily op-note reports and communicate changes to billing
• QA/Compliance Management
• Coordinate Equipment Repairs/needs
• Maintain compliance and risk management (generator, pharmacy review, radiology, inspections)
• Coordinate and accountable for yearly inspections (life safety, etc.)
• Quarterly Board Meetings coordination
• Employee education and risk management
• Maintain employee health records and files
• Conduct monthly staff meetings
• Conduct Fire and Disaster drills
• Employee evaluations
• Employee HR issues
• Marketing: physician office staff issues and training
