Job summary

Peak Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an RN – Charge Nurse to lead daily clinical operations and coordinate patient flow in a 52-bed inpatient rehab setting serving the Raleigh/Durham and Apex communities.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in rehab or acute care, NC or Compact RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and preferred BSN/CRRN credentials. This role offers leadership responsibilities and opportunities to enhance care quality within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting
• CRRN certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required
• North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily clinical operations and ensures continuity of care across departments
• Serves as the primary clinical resource for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provides leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts
• Assesses unit needs and prioritizes staffing assignments and patient care activities
• Coordinates admissions, patient flow, and room placement
• Ensures delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care
• Monitors patient care activities to reduce risk and prevent errors
• Provides direct patient care as needed based on unit demands
• Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
• Oversees completion and accuracy of Interdisciplinary Care Plans
