Job summary

Peak Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for FT day shifts (7a–7p) with rotating weekends, on-call, and holidays. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for eligible candidates and NC/Compact State RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Current NC or Compact RN license and ADN from accredited nursing school.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement (QI) assessments.
• Administers medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborates with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educates patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Promotes patient safety and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Peak Rehabilitation Hospitalis a 52-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital serving the Raleigh/Durham and Apex communities. How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina or Compact State RN license and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include CPR/BLS certification required:

• CRRN certification preferred
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
