Peak Rehabilitation Hospital in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Nurse to lead daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care across shifts. You will supervise staff, coordinate admissions and patient flow, and ensure compliant documentation and care plans.

Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and communication are essential for this role in a rehabilitation-focused, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina or Compact State RN license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; BSN preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is required; CRRN certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting.
• Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily clinical operations and ensures continuity of care across departments.
• Serves as the primary clinical resource for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Assesses unit needs and prioritizes staffing assignments and patient care activities.
• Coordinates admissions, patient flow, and room placement.
• Ensures delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Monitors patient care activities to reduce risk and prevent errors.
• Provides direct patient care as needed based on unit demands.
• Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
• Oversees completion and accuracy of Interdisciplinary Care Plans.
• Supports Quality Indicator (QI) processes and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promotes adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
• Supports staff development, education, and a positive work environment.
• Assists with staffing, scheduling, productivity, and operational workflows.
