Job summary

USA Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support patient-centered care on the unit. The role includes serving as charge nurse when assigned and supervising licensed and non-licensed staff while delivering high-quality clinical care.

You will administer medications, start IVs, manage ports and CVLs, and participate in ongoing education and patient education within hospital policies. Compliance, documentation, and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama is required.
• PALS certification within 180 days is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care according to policies and Nurse Practice Act.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned and supervise staff.
• Administer medications including controlled substances and blood products.
• Perform IV starts, access ports, and manage CVLs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete documentation in the hospital system.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety and comfort.
