Job summary

USA Health seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care across units, applying the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. You will serve as charge nurse when assigned and mentor new staff and nursing students, upholding hospital policies and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include administering medications and blood products, starting IVs, performing CPR per AHA standards, documenting comprehensively, and ensuring safety and infection control across patient populations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• RN licensure in Alabama (or applicable state) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and plan individualized care using the Nursing process.
• Identify expected outcomes and implement and evaluate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications, including controlled substances, and blood products.
• Respond to emergency situations and start IVs as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within required timeframes.
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and organizational policies.
• Act as charge nurse when assigned and precept new employees and students.
