Role Overview:

The Neurology Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating a clinic unit, managing staffing, and ensuring high-quality patient care within the neurology specialty.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and delegate patient care tasks, matching patient needs with staff competencies.
• Develop and implement plans to meet regulatory standards and improve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate scheduling, training, mentoring, and onboarding of staff members.
• Act as liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including pre-hospital providers and hospital administration.
• Monitor and evaluate patient care practices, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Handle customer service interactions, addressing any issues proactively.
• Manage departmental activities, including staffing decisions and compliance with competency requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, with relevant clinical experience, preferably in neurology or critical care settings.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make independent decisions under stress.
• Ability to implement change and assist in managing departmental budgets.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or specialized training in areas like bariatrics or wound care are preferred.
• Management or supervisory experience is advantageous.
