Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care through clinical expertise, team leadership, and collaboration. They manage staffing, patient assignments, and unit flow, while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and fostering a patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities, including staff scheduling and resource management.
• Perform patient rounds, evaluate care quality, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and promote teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Mentor and serve as a preceptor for staff and students, supporting professional development.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and data collection.
• Manage equipment, resources, and patient flow, including emergency and surgical settings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; RN license (single or multi-state). Certification in Basic Life Support required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; 2 years preferred, especially in charge or leadership roles.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and utilize technology proficiently.
• Knowledge of clinical standards, safety protocols, and research principles.

Additional Requirements: Certified in area of specialty preferred. Upholds nursing ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
