Role Overview: The Cardiology Charge Nurse (RN) coordinates departmental functions within a clinic unit, overseeing staff scheduling, patient care, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality patient care, supervise and delegate tasks to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and develop plans to meet regulatory standards. Act as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional interactions and customer satisfaction.

Staff Management & Development: Manage daily staffing, assist with orientation and training, and ensure competency assessments. Foster a collaborative environment for ongoing staff development.

Skills & Qualifications: Require effective communication, decision-making in high-stress situations, and change management abilities. Must hold an Arizona RN license, CPR, and ACLS certifications, with additional certifications depending on specialty.

Experience & Education: Minimum of two years relevant clinical nursing experience, with specific neonatal or specialty experience preferred. An accredited nursing degree is required; BSN is preferred.

Additional certifications such as PALS, NRP, and specialty training enhance qualifications. Management experience and certifications in specialty areas are advantageous.
