Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical unit. The role supports a 34-bed unit with RN, LPN, CMA, and CNA teams, offering a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and opportunities to impact patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience, an active RN license, and BLS at hire (CLS/PALS within 6 months). Memorial Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification required on hire; CLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of experience; Med Surg/Telemetry experience preferred.

Department/Unit Summary

Join our team in a 34 room Medical Surgical unit, located on the 3rd floor, where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, CMAs and CNAs. With a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse to patient ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications and requirements

• License/Education: Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required up on hire. CLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Experience: 3 years experience required. Med Surg/Telemetry experience preferred.
