Job summary

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, Inc., seeks a Registered Nurse to join as Clinical Coordinator in Las Cruces, NM. The role focuses on coordinating staffing, clinical operations, and patient care to ensure safety and quality outcomes across the unit.

You will work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, overseeing education, problem-solving, and patient throughput while maintaining nursing standards and delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staff and resources to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Serve as liaison between nursing and ancillary departments to promote continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Schedule staff, oversee education and development, and engage in clinical problem-solving.
• Coordinate patient throughput and provide direct patient care as needed, including peripheral/central line access (PICC line insertion and central line access).
• Assist with procedures, respond to emergencies, and administer moderate sedation as required.
• Conduct post-procedure rounds and provide ongoing staff education.

Department/Unit Summary

The Clinical Coordinator oversees the daily coordination of staff, resources, and clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Serving as a liaison between nursing and ancillary departments, this role promotes continuity of care, positive patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective service delivery. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, performance management, education and development, clinical problem-solving, patient throughput coordination, direct patient care, PICC line insertion and central line access, assistance with procedures, emergency response, moderate sedation administration, post-procedure patient rounding, and ongoing staff education. The Clinical Coordinator collaborates closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining professional nursing practice standards and supporting organizational goals and behavioral expectations.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS is required within six months of hire.
• 2 years of experience required
