Job summary

HMR Veterans Services is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead nursing teams and ensure high-quality care for veterans. You will supervise CNAs and nursing staff, manage admissions and discharges, and maintain accurate medical records to support safe, compliant operations.

The role requires an active RN license and a nursing degree, plus at least one year of supervisory healthcare experience. A strong emphasis on communication and patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree or approved RN program graduate with an active, unencumbered state RN license.
• Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Clinical: Trained in rehabilitative and restorative nursing; familiar with current nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support CNAs and nursing personnel to ensure policy compliance and proper care.
• Manage admissions, transfers, discharges, and orient new residents.
• Maintain accurate records including nurses' notes, census reports, and care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with proper narcotics handling.
