Zusammenfassung

HMR Veterans Services is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure high-quality care for residents. You will work under nursing leadership to maintain regulatory compliance and coordinate with families, departments, and external partners.

The role requires a nursing degree or approved LN program with an active license, plus at least one year of supervisory healthcare experience.

Qualifikationen

• Education & Licensure: Nursing degree or approved LN program graduate with an active, unencumbered state LN license.
• Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Clinical Knowledge: Trained in rehabilitative and restorative nursing; familiar with current nursing practices.
• Regulatory Awareness: Knowledgeable of long-term care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Communication Skills: Able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Capable of leading staff with professionalism and tact.

Aufgaben

• Supervise daily nursing activities to ensure high-quality care in line with regulations and leadership direction.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and room readiness; coordinate with families and funeral homes as needed.
• Monitor staffing levels, attendance, and performance; participate in evaluations and supervision of nurse aides and trainees.
• Provide nursing care as needed; monitor residents, treatments, and care plans; document accurately and follow plans.
• Notify families and physicians of significant changes; address concerns per procedures.
• Lead orientation and in-service education; ensure staff are trained in infection control and PPE protocols.
• Support emergency responses; obtain lab specimens and record vital signs as required.
• Ensure availability of medications, supplies, and maintain clean, organized care areas.
• Uphold residents' rights to privacy and dignified care; ensure consent and refusal policies are followed.
• Participate in care plan development and updates; communicate plans clearly to staff.
• Complete incident reports and address grievances with leadership follow-up.
