Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Centralia, MO, is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership within our Skilled Nursing community. You’ll oversee nursing services during shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and regulatory compliance.

This role demands strong clinical judgment, experience in long-term care, and the ability to coordinate with families, physicians, and leadership.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active.
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and clinical supervision on assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.
