Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Farmington, MO, is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.

The Charge Nurse will oversee nursing services, supervise staff, administer medications, and ensure regulatory compliance across shifts, while serving as a central communicator for residents, families, providers, and leadership.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect.
• Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.
