Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky seeks a Registered Nurse to serve as Charge Nurse - M.D.S Coordinator at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. The role focuses on MDS, care plans, medication administration, and coordinating a patient-centered care team.

Requires two years RN experience, KY RN license, and a valid work permit. Locality premium applies; schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm, in Hopkins County, Hanson location.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Initiates M.D.S and Care Plan process for new residents.
• Administer medications and treatments, and help meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal and VA guidelines relating to M.D.S and Care Planning.
• Team leadership within the nursing department.
