  • Familiarity with RAI process, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and state case mix models.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the full MDS 3.0 assessment process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate MDS submissions per guidelines.
  • Participate in and lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate MDS submissions per federal and state guidelines.
  • Review, validate, and certify resident assessments for accuracy and compliance; participate in and lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
  • Evaluate resident physical, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
  • Document assessments using the electronic medical records system.
  • Monitor and manage PDPM, case mix index, and ICD-10 coding.
  • Lead restorative nursing programs and assess their effectiveness.
  • Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in survey readiness and reviews.
  • May be required to fill in as an RN when necessary.
