Job summary

Rancho Seco Care Center is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN/RN) for the PM shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm). You will report to the Director of Nursing, provide clinical leadership, and ensure nursing care follows the nursing process and professional standards.

You will record patient data, supervise staff, coordinate daily duties, and ensure smooth admissions, transfers, and discharges, while mentoring new staff and maintaining safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensed as LVN or RN.
• Prior healthcare facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical records and monitor vital signs.
• Supervise nursing staff and monitor their needs.
• Coordinate daily administrative duties, including schedules, nursing assignments, and patient care.
• Oversight of patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Mentor and train new staff and provide support to all staff.
• Monitor medical charts and provide compassionate care to patients and families.
• Liaise with doctors and administrators and communicate protocol changes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Record and maintain accurate reports.
• Identify issues or emergencies and respond calmly and efficiently.

We are looking to hire a Full time/ part time/ PRN - Charge Nurse LVN/ RN (PM shift - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm). You may be our next hire to join our team!

Position: The Charge Nurse is responsible to the Director of Nursing, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
