Responsibilities:

• Provide direction to Nurse Aides for appropriate resident care.
• Properly administer resident medication.
• Implement resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician's orders.
• Perform treatments as required.
• Accurately transcribe physician orders promptly.
• Document residents' charts timely and accurately. Complete nursing assessments as required.
• Participate in shift reports.
• Implement established nursing policies and procedures, and educate support staff regarding residents' care needs.
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to infection control and body mechanics procedures.
• Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse or Licensed/Vocational Nurse in good standing.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to organize workflow, respond to emergencies, and note details accurately.
