You will supervise nurse aides, administer medications, implement care plans, document care, transcribe orders, participate in shift reports, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering high‑quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing.
• Strong ability to document and communicate clearly.
• Experience coordinating care and supervising nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: Guide Nurse Aides to ensure resident care.
• Administer Medications safely as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans in line with policies and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments to maintain resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders accurately and promptly.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.

• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.

• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.

• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.

• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.

• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.

• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.

• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.

• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
