Job summary

National Church Residences in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) to serve as a Charge Nurse on the Skilled Unit (PRN, 7a–7p). You will supervise and deliver nursing care in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements, providing professional leadership to the care team.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, developing care plans, documenting observations, passing medications, coordinating with physicians and families, and mentoring nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; LPN or RN license required.
• One to two years of nursing experience preferred.
• Must have good communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, provide and direct nursing care in compliance with facility policies.
• Perform daily rounds, develop care plans, and pass medications with accuracy.
• Supervise nursing assistants and ensure efficient completion of assignments.
• Document resident information timely and accurately; report changes to appropriate staff.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, physicians and other staff.
