Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison in Wisconsin is seeking an RN leader to coordinate unit staffing and guide nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

The position requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience and current BLS certification. A flexible shift pattern and collaboration with advanced practice providers support achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or licensing equivalency.
• One year of registered nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Develops and distributes patient care assignments ensuring appropriate care.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and addresses issues.
• Responds to complaints about patient care following established channels.
• May assist with hiring, training, and staff development.
• Maintains alertness and safe operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
