Job summary

Ohio Living in Akron is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) to lead daily nursing activities, assign CNAs, and ensure continuity of resident care in accordance with state and facility guidelines.

You will administer medications per physician orders, participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team, monitor resident conditions, and mentor staff while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant care environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited college, university or vocational school.
• Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as an RN or LPN.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day nursing functions and assigns CNAs.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing standards.
• Represents the nursing department during Interdisciplinary Care Plan meetings.
• Admits, transfers and discharges patients as necessary.
• Works with Unit Manager to reduce hospital readmissions.
