Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking an RN to deliver nursing care in an inpatient setting using the nursing process. The role requires independent judgment, growth and development across life spans, and collaboration with an interprofessional team to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include prioritizing care, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to policy and quality improvements while maintaining patient safety and experience. BSN is preferred; BLS within 30 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state RN license through eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire date.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes patient diagnoses, problems, and mutual goals to meet patient and healthcare team needs.
• Serves as resource for patient and family learning needs.
• Coordinates with the interprofessional team to manage changing priorities.
• Functions as independent team member to provide safe, quality care.
• Mentors colleagues in clinical knowledge, skills, and judgement.
• Leads interprofessional teams to collaborate and improve patient outcomes.
