Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Fairmont, WV, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver inpatient care at Fairmont Medical Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital. The RN assumes accountability for nursing care using the nursing process, providing safe, quality, patient-centered care with independent judgment.

Minimum qualifications include an active RN license (eNLC accepted) and BLS certification within 30 days of hire; two years of RN experience are required, with BSN or higher

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Two years of registered nursing experience.
• BSN or higher degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes patient’s diagnosis, problems, and issues, and mutual goals to meet the needs of the patient and healthcare team.
• Serves as resource for patient & family learning needs.
• Coordinates with the interprofessional team to manage changing priorities.
• Functions as independent team member to provide safe, quality care for consumer/patient.
