Job summary
Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is seeking a Charge Nurse to manage daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves mentoring staff, coordinating patient care, and reporting to the Nurse Manager.
Qualified candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required within specified timelines, with a preference for those holding a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Qualifications
- RN license and state licensure required.
- BLS certification required at hire. ACLS required within 3 months for specified departments.
- PALS/NRP certifications required within 3 months for designated units.
- Bachelor’s or higher preferred; Nursing degree.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting and training of new hires.
- Prepare assigned reports for nurse managers.
- Mentor and lead unit staff in daily operations.
- Direct patient care operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
- Maintain clear communication with Nurse Manager and House Supervisors.
- Perform related duties as required.
