Job summary

Responsibilities include scheduling, direct care, supervision, documentation, and ensuring compliance with policies while maintaining a professional, therapeutic approach with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of the facility is required.
• One year experience as a registered nurse preferred.
• Six months of experience as a registered nurse required.
• One or more years of experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery (inpatient or outpatient) preferred.
• Some experience as a change RN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct care for patients and coordinate other nurses and staff on daily medical or behavioral health care activities.
• Oversee a unit or work group for a shift and ensure full coverage.
• Schedule staff to ensure full coverage and effective application of services.
• Lead, guide and train employees performing work.
• Provide nursing evaluation, consultation and related care as required.
• Coordinate services and maintain communication with other departments or staff.
• Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance with standards; promote workplace safety and continuous improvement.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, case managers, coworkers and others.
• Complete and maintain required documentation.
