Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department. The RN will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and act as a resource and leader for the patient care team in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Requirements include ADN or higher, Maryland RN license, BLS, and 1–3 years in acute care with specialty certification within 3–5 years. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered.

UNIT SUMMARY: The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac, stroke and behavioral health. Additionally, staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. Our rapid care area is designated for minor illnesses. Staff members are outgoing and positive and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.

JOB SUMMARY: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and functions as advisor, resource and leader for other members of the patient care team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field

2 or more years of experience in clinical specialty

Nursing Certification of specialty area within 3-5 years of hire

1-3 years of experience

Maryland Registered Nurse License

American Heart Association BLS Certification

Pay Range: $40.12 to $62.19 Based On Experience

Sign on Bonus: up to $10,000
