Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Zachary is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse/Clinical Supervisor (RN) for night shifts with ICU/step-down experience. The Charge Nurse supervises patient care and coordinates with physicians, CCO, and staff to respond to clinical changes.

Night differential applies, and the hospital emphasizes a positive care environment. Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Louisiana RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS is required; prior LTAC or critical care experience is

Qualifications

• Graduate with RN licensure in Louisiana or eligible state licensure (unencumbered).
• Experience in acute care, ICU, or step-down/ LTAC settings preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care activities performed by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians and staff promptly.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and treatment responses.
• Foster a positive unit milieu and keep leadership informed of risks.

AMG Specialty Hospital -Zachary is aFull TimeCharge Nurse/Clinical Supervisor, (RN) with ICU, 2 years LTAC or Step-down experience for Night Shifts.The Charge Nurse supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.Communicate with Physicians/CCO/staff, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Responsible for fostering a positive milieu in the hospital. Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure unencumbered.
• Acute care, med-surg, critical care or ICU experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Detailed computer knowledge.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
