Job summary

Saint Mary's Health Network, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee nursing staff on the shift and support department operations in the OR. The role includes direct patient care as needed and ensuring efficient unit functioning with appropriate staffing and resources.

The ideal candidate holds a Nevada RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications and has prior supervisory experience, plus 2 years in an acute care operating room setting.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada RN license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.
• Must be able to communicate in English (speak, write).
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care operating room.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and communicate with all staff along with the Department Director.
• Assist the Department Director in daily operation of the unit.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate personnel to ensure proper use of time, equipment and staff.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
