Job summary

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as Charge Nurse in the nursing department, supervising professional and ancillary staff and ensuring efficient care delivery.

The ideal candidate holds Kentucky RN licensure, has two years of RN experience (or a bachelor’s degree substituting for one year), and demonstrates strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located inbeautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence,preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Charge Nurse.This position will serve in the role of Charge Nurse and supervise professional and ancillary employees in theadministration of efficient nursing care.

Required to have an active, unrestricted and probated status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.

This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary:

• Second & Third shift: 15%
• Weekend: 25%
• Holidays: 25%

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
