Job summary

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY, is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to serve as Charge Nurse in the nursing department. The role includes supervising both professional and ancillary staff to deliver efficient nursing care and ensure high standards for Kentucky’s Veterans.

The ideal candidate will have an active KY RN license, with a minimum of two years of RN experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Description

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Charge Nurse. This position will serve in the role of Charge Nurse and supervise professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care.

Required to have an active, unrestricted and probated status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.

This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary:

• Second & Third shift: 15%
• Weekend: 25%
• Holidays: 25%

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
