Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX seeks a Senior Analyst to oversee the Charge Description Master (CDM) integrity and manage updates to charge codes. You will monitor quality, coordinate with Revenue Cycle Operations and Revenue Integrity, and drive timely changes to maximize gross revenue.

Responsibilities include evaluating CPT/HCPCS assignments, supporting clinical management with CDM changes, and mentoring CDM Analysts while maintaining strong department relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent broad proven practical experience in healthcare revenue management and 4 years' related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing of CDM requests for accurate charging, billing, coding, and pricing.
• Facilitate analysis of the CDM to ensure correct CPT/HCPCS and revenue codes.
• Support clinical management with changes to the CDM as needed.
• Coordinate charge router logic reviews with Revenue Integrity and Coding counterparts.
• Develop and maintain CDM policies for pricing updates and charge capture.
• Provide updates to leadership on staff performance and process improvements.
