Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis seeks a Charge Analyst RN to review orders and clinical documentation to capture nursing, ancillary, and procedural revenue consistently and accurately.

The ideal candidate holds an Indiana RN license and an associate degree in nursing, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings at the North campus, totaling 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an NLN/CCNE/ACEN accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Indiana (NLC) with current license.
• Three years' experience with medical record review, charging, coding, or billing; clinical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and clinical documentation to capture nursing/ancillary and procedural revenue per policy.
• Communicate with clinical staff and leadership to prevent or correct documentation deficiencies that cause revenue loss.

The Charge Analyst RN is responsible for medical record review of orders and clinical documentation to capture all applicable nursing/ancillary and/or procedural revenue based on Network charge policy and criteria. Communicates with all clinical staff and leadership to prevent and/or correct documentation deficiencies that are leading to revenue loss for their department.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

2 year / associate degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing or in lieu of accredited schools listed above, three years of related professional nursing experience. Associate degree in nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred (Required)

Required Certifications/Licensures: (Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC))

Three (3) years of experience with medical record review, charging, coding, and/or billing, as well as Microsoft Office programs. Clinical experience required. (Required)
