Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac PCU/Observation Unit on the night shift. You will care for post-cardiac and vascular procedural patients, chest pain, congestive heart failure, and post-PACU patients preparing for discharge.

The role offers learning opportunities in a fast-paced cardiovascular unit with a focus on compassionate care, teamwork, and EPIC electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited school of nursing or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Indiana license in the NLC.
• Acute care experience is preferred, but new grads may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Care for post-cardiac and vascular procedural patients, chest pain, CHF and post-PACU patients.
• Collaborate with care teams and document in EPIC EMR.

The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced unit caring for post-cardiac and vascular procedural patients, those with chest pain, congestive heart failure and/or post-PACU patients (recover and go home the next day). The Registered Nurse will be a part of an exciting, fast-paced environment ideal for learning and growing in the area of cardiovascular nursing!

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Demonstration of performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of Community Health Network; demonstration of skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Acute care experience preferred, but willing to consider new grads.
