Job summary

Tesco Mobile is seeking anSecurity Engineering Lead to define and execute multi-year roadmaps, align risk and regulatory needs with scalable engineering solutions, and lead security initiatives. You will build capabilities across vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence while staying ahead of frontier AI cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Project management experience in an agile organization.
• Proven record of integrating security features in the software development life cycle, with security by design/default.
• Awareness of current cyber security threats, actors and techniques.
• Experience implementing engineering solutions that meet internal control frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Experience with security tooling such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability scanning.
• Knowledge of security & AI governance frameworks and regulations (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST).
• Any relevant study or certifications, either formal or self-learning.

You will be responsible for

- Ability to define and execute a multi-year roadmap, translating business risk, regulatory requirements, and technical challenges into scalable engineering solutions.

- Define success metrics,using data to inform risk management strategy
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, while influencing senior stakeholders and driving adoption across engineering and business units
- Keen to cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation and bringing industry standards to everything we do.
- Shouldbe passionate about improving ways of working and best practices by understanding the customer.

You will need

- Project management experience, at an agileorganization.
- Proven record of integrating security features in the software development life cycle, integrating security by design& defaultin a complex environment.
- Have awareness and understanding of current cyber security threats,actorsand their techniques.
- Implemented AI agents, either internally or customer facing.
- Experience implementing engineering solutions that meet internal control frameworks and regulatory expectations.
- Experience with security tooling & solutions e.g. SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability scanning, threat intelligence platforms.
- Knowledge of relevantsecurity & AI governanceframeworks andregulations, such asMitreATT&CK, NIST, TSA.
- Any relevantstudy or certifications, either formal or self-learning.
